A Brief History

Gramin Adarsha Multiple Campus (GAMC), founded in the year 2051 BS (1995 AD), is a place of pride for every academic genre where research and innovation pleads aspiring students to prepare for the challenges of the 21st century. This campus is, in fact, a fruitful aftermath of the leading educationists, professionals and social workers particularly from the northern belt of the Kathmandu valley. Being a truly community-based campus, it has in its aim to impart quality education at moderate and affordable fee structure in the real sense of the term. In its more than two-decade-long history the campus has already earned its name and fame by achieving excellent academic result, and the campus does have a team of highly dedicated and well-qualified teaching staff with a proven experience and degrees from various universities at home and abroad. It has indubitably emerged as an institution possibly the best of its kind catering to the needs of its students.

The campus is purely dedicated to achieve academic excellence and technical brilliance by means of its various academic programs ranging from class XI and XII through bachelor level to post-graduate level in various streams and faculties such as those of science, management, humanities and education. As the name of the campus may itself suggest, the students and beneficiaries of this campus are particularly from the rural areas and hinterlands of the Kathmandu valley and the whole nation itself. The campus is, in fact, a microcosm of the whole nation for its students belong to many different social and cultural background and economic strata. The campus provides a very congenial atmosphere of teaching and learning representing various under-privileged and disadvantaged groups.

The campus occupies a total land of 2-0-2-2 ropanies of its own and it does have 4 blocks with at least 50 well-furnished classrooms altogether. There are as many as 70 teaching staff and 9 non teaching staff. The students in various levels and programs rise to a number of 2453. Out of 2453 students 1836 in 2077/077 were appeared in the examination. A seminar hall, a computer lab with moderate facilities, a science lab, a radio lab, a hotel management lab are all parts of its amenities. But, they all are in a very miserable state demanding for further enrichment and improvement.
